I took these pictures of the old Sears retailer at the Briarwood Mall. I used to buy a lot of my clothes here, especially when I was younger. It looked really dark now that it's abandoned, and it was kind of spooky to see it empty along side all the other stores.
These were also taken at Briarwood, but they were inside it this time. I liked the weird shape of the skylight, and how it lit up the entire space. The mall had also started decorating for Chinese New Year, which added a little bit of color to it.
These photos were at the Grizzly Peak restaurant downtown, where my family and I will often eat out. We were having lunch there when I took these, and I liked the rustic look to the place. It was pretty dark inside, so it was hard to get good lighting and I still had to turn up the brightness a lot.
This is the Alfred J. Taubman building, where my dad works for the University of Michigan. It's really modern looking, and I liked the different structures that made it up. I especially liked the first photo, mostly because of how clear the sky was, which made for a good reflection.
Even though only students are allowed in the Law building, I still managed to get inside to shoot. Even if we did get yelled at, everything probably would have been fine since my dad is a professor. It had a really old look, which made for good pictures inside and outside.
